LED the Higher Performance Lighting Solutions

LED technology has revolutionized the lighting solutions industry and has largely replaced other alternatives like incandescent lights and halogens. LED technology is still being developed to broaden its scope. But at this stage also, LED lightings still have wide industrial, commercial as well as household applications.

Advantages - Strong Lighting, No Heat Emission, Lightweight Version:
Some of the more common applications include lighting in indicators, display elements, car headlights, in machinery and equipment, in stadiums and arenas where strong lighting is needed, in driveways and garage spaces, for outdoor lighting, etc. Also since LED lighting does not emit heat, they can be effectively used in heat sensitive equipment. Some other applications where LED lighting is used, is in traffic signals and lights. Thin and lightweight LED versions are used for message displays e.g. on destination display boards in trams, airports, railways and other such stations.

LEDs – Energy Efficient, Durable, Fast Switching Time:
Because of their energy efficiency and durability they are used in stadiums and for decorative displays. Because of their fast switching time, they are used for emergency lighting in vehicles, ship navigation systems. LED lighting is also used for rear lighting in vehicles. Their application in brake lights is of vital importance. Due to faster switching time, they are very integral for ensuring safety in emergency situations.

LEDs – Robust, Long Life, Efficient:
Due to their robustness and long lasting ability, LEDs are perfect for use in automotive lighting. Due to their efficient performance, they are also used for street lighting and architecture related lighting purposes especially where colorful lighting is required. LEDs are used for backlighting purposes in televisions, laptops etc.

LEDs – More Advantages:
Due to their small size and efficient energy utilization, they are also used in handheld devices like flashlights, and sometimes in camera phones too. LED lighting is also used in aquariums for lighting purposes as they do not emit heat. A similar use exists as a tool for growing plants indoors. As these LEDs are energy efficient and emit less heat, there is no fear of damaging the plants. Unlike options like incandescent lighting types which are fragile, LEDs are more robust and are suitable for applications where strength matters. Frequent on/off cycling does not cause LED failure, which makes it perfect for household and other applications.

All these features make LED lighting a highly efficient and a high performing lighting solution.
